
I joined the Lakeview Orchestra quite recently, in late 2024, because it seemed like the most serious non-professional orchestra in the area. My personal goals for joining were to rediscover the joy of collective music-making which was a big part of my youth, and in doing so re-cultivate the technical proficiency I had back in the day. As soon as I joined the orchestra, though, I was blown away by what a strong, connected organization it is – how it is held together both by a super serious commitment to the music and by a very friendly, well-wishing spirit. I am helping to raise money because I want to make sure that this seriousness and commitment also translates into long-term sustainability.

Lakeview Orchestra is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization celebrating more than a decade of artistic excellence. This spring, the orchestra has a goal to raise at least $25,000 as part of our Our Symphony, Our Future! campaign, which will allow us to continue bringing classical music to the greater Lakeview community.
