I have been oboist in the Lakeview Orchestra since 2018, and I love this community orchestra! It has been an absolute honor and priviledge for me to have so many friends and family in attendance at concerts, and now we are asking for your financial support to help us continue making music that is accessible and lifts up the great music making of our community!
After receiving my degrees in music, having a brief professional career, and then burning out and taking a break from music, The Lakeview Orchestra has become a very important addition to my life. It's made me remember what drew me to music at the start - way back when I was 5 and first starting Suzuki violin lessons or when I was 10 and starting oboe lessons as a part of 5th grade band. It's helped me to approach music with a new and healthier perspective (and has also allowed me to reflect on all of the fantastic transferable skills that musicians have that we should all be putting on our resumes!!!)
Performing pieces with the Orchestra that I performed in my musical past remind me of so many wonderful memories; of all of the people I've met and all of the places I've seen, all because of music.
Any little bit helps! Thank you for supporting the arts in our community!

Lakeview Orchestra is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization celebrating more than a decade of artistic excellence. This spring, the orchestra has a goal to raise at least $25,000 as part of our Our Symphony, Our Future! campaign, which will allow us to continue bringing classical music to the greater Lakeview community.
Every dollar raised will go directly to helping us achieve our mission and this year’s priorities that include:
- Increasing Accessibility for the Community – This season, we’re offering 250 free student tickets to help young audiences and families experience the magic of live orchestral music without financial barriers.
- Expanding the Guest Conductor Program – We’re welcoming three distinguished guest conductors, each bringing fresh perspectives and elevating our artistic programming. Their expertise will challenge and inspire both our musicians and our audience.
- Enhancing Member Experience – With 88 dedicated musicians, we’re investing in rehearsal space upgrades and new artistic development opportunities to ensure our members continue to refine their talents and deliver exceptional performances.
Donations to Lakeview Orchestra are 100% tax-deductible. Questions? Contact us at info@lakevieworchestra.org.
