As a dedicated violist with the Lakeview Orchestra for the past twelve years, my musical journey began in the Louisiana public school system and found its home in Chicago with this remarkable ensemble. After contributing as the program annotator for eight years, I've recently joined the board of directors, eager to help strengthen this award-winning community treasure that has brought me so much joy.
The Lakeview Orchestra enriches our Chicago community through accessible classical music, offering free summer concerts and complimentary student tickets. What makes us truly special is that our talented musicians perform purely for the love of music—none of us receives payment for our performances or rehearsals. However, ticket sales cover only about one-third of our operating expenses. Your support—even the equivalent of a coffee or two—directly helps keep our music playing and sustains our mission of bringing beautiful orchestral performances to our community. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference in continuing our musical tradition. Won't you help keep the music playing?

Lakeview Orchestra is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization celebrating more than a decade of artistic excellence. This spring, the orchestra has a goal to raise at least $25,000 as part of our Our Symphony, Our Future! campaign, which will allow us to continue bringing classical music to the greater Lakeview community.
Every dollar raised will go directly to helping us achieve our mission and this year’s priorities that include:
