I joined the Lakeview Orchestra in 2017 because I was looking for a creative and musical outlet. Despite filling my days with music as an orchestra teacher, I needed a place to play challenging and inspiring music for myself. Lakeview stood out as a unique ensemble dedicated to providing a rewarding experience for its non-professional musicians and high-quality performance for the audience.
The ensemble has become much more than a personal, musical endeavor;  it has become a place of connection. I have met many talented musicians who have become close friends. It is also the place where my family and friends can come to support me and the orchestra.
I have greatly appreciated contributing to an ensemble that remains dedicated to performing engaging concerts of responsive and thoughtfully curated repertoire. Our upcoming performance of Shostakovich's 7th Symphony on June 8th is a perfect example. It is a stunning masterpiece that preserves a historical event and continues to speak to our modern experience.
This concert only happens because of two types of contributions: the musicians' dedicated practice and the community's support. Whether you can attend the concert or make a small donation, I hope you will consider supporting this unique and wonderful orchestra.

ABOUT Our Symphony, Our Future!

Lakeview Orchestra is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization celebrating more than a decade of artistic excellence. This spring, the orchestra has a goal to raise at least $25,000 as part of our Our Symphony, Our Future! campaign, which will allow us to continue bringing classical music to the greater Lakeview community.

Every dollar raised will go directly to helping us achieve our mission and this year’s priorities that include:

  • Increasing Accessibility for the Community – This season, we’re offering 250 free student tickets to help young audiences and families experience the magic of live orchestral music without financial barriers.
  • Expanding the Guest Conductor Program – We’re welcoming three distinguished guest conductors, each bringing fresh perspectives and elevating our artistic programming. Their expertise will challenge and inspire both our musicians and our audience.
  • Enhancing Member Experience – With 88 dedicated musicians, we’re investing in rehearsal space upgrades and new artistic development opportunities to ensure our members continue to refine their talents and deliver exceptional performances.

Donations to Lakeview Orchestra are 100% tax-deductible. Questions? Contact us at info@lakevieworchestra.org.
