Attention music lovers and supporters of the arts! Are you passionate about promoting classical music and the talent of musicians in *your* area? If so, I would like to introduce you to the Lakeview Orchestra, a Chicago-based volunteer community orchestra that is dedicated to providing opportunities for talented musicians to perform and share their passion with the community. I earned my master's degree in Viola Performance in 2013 and since I moved back to Chicago the Orchestra has been invaluable to my experience as mature musician. Music is by no where near my day job in cyber security, but this great has been great for satisfying my need to work with a high caliber of enthusiatstic colleagues. Highlights include Mozart's Jupiter Symphony, performing Bach's Chaconne on a orchestra chamber music series, and spending time with the other musicians around things that have nothing to do with music.

However, as a volunteer organization, Lakeview Orchestra relies on the support of generous donors to continue its mission. By donating to Lakeview Orchestra, you can help us provide exceptional musical experiences to our community and support the development of the local-grown talent. So please consider donating to Lakeview Orchestra and help us continue to share the beauty and power of classical music with the world.

cheers

Through its highly-praised performances, the orchestra provides a vital service to its community, enriching the lives of audience members

As Lakeview Orchestra celebrates 10 years of artisitc excellence, we also look to prepare for the next 10 years by launching the Lakeview Orchestra Spring Challenge with a goal to raise $10,000. Every dollar raised will go directly to helping us achieve our 2023 priorities that include:

  • Upgrading our rehearsal space and continuing our residencey at the Athenaeum Center for Thought and Culture: offsetting our increased performance and rehearsal space rental fees.

  • Welcoming guest musicians and conductors: Showcasing Chicago's rich talent and elevating performances.

  • Paternering with other arts organizations by collaborating with others to offer rich and dynamic programming to a growing audience, like Violins of Hope.

Investment in these Lakeview Orchestra priorities will help the orchestra fulfill its vision to be the premiere volunteer orchestra in Chicago. Please consider making a donation to the Lakeview Orchestra Spring Challenge. Donations to the orchestra are 100% tax-deductible and will directly fund the Orchestra’s operations.
