If you've made your way to this page, it means you're my friend or part of my family. It also means you have some idea of how much orchestral music means to me. Up until I joined the Lakeview Orchestra in 2021 my opportunities to play in an orchestra were scarce and many of those opportunities were less than ideal. When I joined the Lakeview Orchestra that changed. Not only have I had the chance to do something I truly love but I also get to share that with others that share my passion for music. I get to play with some of the best musicians I have ever played with. I'm nervous in rehearsals because I want to make sure I carry my weight and support my fellow musicians. That's why I hope you can help me. To make this beautiful music money must get spent. That's just the truth of it. We must pay for rehearsal spaces, performing venues and many other things that go into running an orchestra. Please help me to continue to do one of my favorite things to do in this world by giving whatever you feel comfortable with. As they say, any amount would help.

ABOUT Spring Challenge 2023

Lakeview Orchestra is 10! Since its inception in 2013, Lakeview Orchestra has been home to well-trained, non-professional musicians who revel at opportunities to perform. Through its highly-praised performances, the orchestra provides a vital service to its community, enriching the lives of audience members

As Lakeview Orchestra celebrates 10 years of artisitc excellence, we also look to prepare for the next 10 years by launching the Lakeview Orchestra Spring Challenge with a goal to raise $10,000. Every dollar raised will go directly to helping us achieve our 2023 priorities that include:

  • Upgrading our rehearsal space and continuing our residencey at the Athenaeum Center for Thought and Culture: offsetting our increased performance and rehearsal space rental fees.

  • Welcoming guest musicians and conductors: Showcasing Chicago's rich talent and elevating performances.

  • Paternering with other arts organizations by collaborating with others to offer rich and dynamic programming to a growing audience, like Violins of Hope.

Join the Campaign

Investment in these Lakeview Orchestra priorities will help the orchestra fulfill its vision to be the premiere volunteer orchestra in Chicago. Please consider making a donation to the Lakeview Orchestra Spring Challenge. Donations to the orchestra are 100% tax-deductible and will directly fund the Orchestra’s operations.
