My first Lakeview Orchestra concert was the Stravinsky Firebird Suite in Fall 2019.  I remember being so nervious and excited, my right hand slipped and my bow almost flew into the front row.

As most of you know I've spent most of my adult life playing jazz/pop/rock guitar.  A few years ago I decided to jump back into my classical roots and resume playing violoncello.  It took a while to get back up to speed, and I didn't want to just play as a hobby, but to grow past where I left off.  When searching for an ogranization to play with, I was so glad to find the Lakeview Orchestra.

Joining the orchestra introduced me to a community that was only previously intersectional.  I've been able to connect with diverse group with wonderful artists and grow as a well rounded musician.  I've been able to explore works and composers that I would never have found in my youth or in any average orchestra.  Most of all, I take pride that the orchestra is commited to playing works by women, LBGTQ and POC that don't receive enough exposure in the orchestral world.

Today, I ask you to donate to the Lakeview Orchestra to help us continue our mission to provide music and education to our community at a high artistic level.  And for the record, I haven't dropped my bow since that first concert.
